Practical Business is aired over Global News Network (GNN) every Thursday at 11:00AM to 12:00NN. GSAT subscribers can view GNN by tuning into Ch 1. Global Destiny Cable subscribers can view GNN by tuning into Ch 8 in the Metro Manila area. Sky Cable subscribers can view GNN by tuning into Ch 213.
GNN is also carried by 300 local cable operators in the provinces thru its linkages with the Philippine Cable TV Association (PCTA). GNN is also shown over Global Satellite TV (GSAT) for remote areas in the country not reached by cable TV. GNN is also on UHF FREE TO AIR TV in Pampanga (Ch 44), Cagayan de Oro/Cebu (Ch 45), Baguio (Ch 48), Zamboanga/Naga/Roxas City (Ch 43), and General Santos (Ch 40). Practical Business is hosted by veteran business broadcaster Miguel Gil.
He was Anchorman of one of the longest running daily business news programs on Philippine television—NBN Business, later renamed Teledyaryo Business, then renamed once again as Money Matters, which aired over the National Broadcasting Network (PTV 4).
He also spent over 13 years as a reporter for the same network, reporting mostly on issues related to business and economics both here and abroad.
During the mid 2000, Gil co-hosted and co-produced the radio business talk show “Bottomline” which aired over DWBR Business Radio 104.3FM.
He has paid his dues in print media as well, having served as Business Editor of the broadsheet Good Morning Philippines as well as a Reporter of Business World, at one time.
Gil spent the better part of the past decade and a half pounding the business beat!
